MIAMI, FL., Oct. 27, 2021 – Cigna’s Medicare Advantage HMO plan in Florida has achieved five out of five Stars for quality and performance from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for 2022. This is the fifth time that this plan has been awarded this top status and the fourth year in a row it has earned this rating.

The plan is offered under the Cigna brand in parts of Northern Florida (Escambia, Bay, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Walton counties), Central Florida (Brevard, Flagler, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Manatee, Marion Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Volusia, Sarasota, Seminole and Sumter counties), the Treasure Coast (Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie counties), and South Florida (Collier and Lee counties). It also is available in Miami-Dade County under the brand of Leon Medical Centers Health Plans (LMCHP), a Cigna plan.
CMS measures a Medicare Advantage plan’s quality of health care services and experience received by its customers. The annual ratings are based on a scale of one to five Stars with five Stars being the highest. These ratings help Medicare beneficiaries, their families and caregivers compare Medicare plans. The Star ratings are posted at www.medicare.gov.
