Cigna Offers Free Health Expertise through MP3s at itstimetofeelbetter.com
BLOOMFIELD, Conn., February 19, 2009 - Listen up. It can be one of the best things you do for your health. Today Cigna is launching a series of podcasts to help people learn about health, wellness, and how to use their health care plan.
The extensive audio library will reside on itstimetofeelbetter.com, Cigna's interactive health education web site.
“People tell us they want to be able to get health information on their own terms,” said Michael Rosenfield, who directs brand management for Cigna. “So we’ve built our online audio library as another avenue for people to get reliable information they can use to help save on health care costs and learn about ways to improve their health.”
According to a Harris Interactive poll, 66 percent of all adults and 81 percent of those who are online seek health information on the Internet1.
Itstimetofeelbetter.com has hundreds of podcasts from the respected non-profit health information company Healthwise, and from Cigna's own clinical experts. Topics include information on different conditions and diseases, how to sleep better, work-out tips, tips for good children’s oral health, how to use information on quality and cost to select a health professional, and information on the health care industry.
The podcast library will continue to grow as Cigna taps its own experts. The company has on staff leaders in many clinical fields ranging from exercise physiology to dentistry. Each month, Cigna will add new podcasts full of timely information people can use in their everyday lives.
