Robbins HealthCare Consumer Leadership Award, is the subject of a cover story in this IHC Health Care Consumerism Solutions magazine’s “Superstars 2012” issue. Cigna Government Services was presented with two prestigious Stevie® Awards for excellence in customer service at the fifth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. The first award was for the Customer Service Team of the Year – Recovery Situation and recognized CGS’ efforts in keeping its contact center operational despite significant flooding in Nashville in May 2010. The second award was for Customer Service Training Team of the Year and recognized an accelerated and ambitious training program that saw nearly 400 customer service associates trained in just over five weeks to handle an unexpected increase in business of nearly 600%.

In Forrester Research's "Rating of Customer Service Experience, 2010" study Cigna's rating of 62 percent is higher than our national competitors and peers - rates respectively: Medicare (61 percent), Medicaid (53 percent), Anthem (50 percent), Aetna (44 percent), and United (43 percent). Only one regional health plan, Kaiser, rated higher at 75 percent. Forrester surveyed more than 4,600 U.S. consumers across 14 industries.

Cigna Pharmacy Management’s online Prescription Drug Price Quote Tool received two awards from Consumer Health World for 2008’s Best Innovation Stimulating Consumer Engagement and Best Application for Enhancing Patient Access for Information. The awards are presented to recognize excellence and advancement in service, products and programs that enhance consumers’ abilities to manage their health care expenditures and enhance health care quality. The myCigna.com Prescription Drug Price Quote tool can be found online at Cigna's secure member Web portal. The tool enables individuals in Cigna Pharmacy’s plans to compare the actual price of prescription drugs based on the member’s specific benefit plan. Other features include Google mapping to easily find a pharmacy and alerts for medications with special requirements. Information about medications and questions for individuals to ask their physicians about their medication or condition is available.
